When Dhanesh met with a near-fatal accident, he could not control his legs and lost control over his bladder and bowel movements. He searched for treatment, but was not successful, and spent over two years confined to his bed. He was referred to SRVC, where he saw a new ray of hope. With the help of physiotherapy and a caring and supportive staff, he could walk normally just within six months. Today, Dhanesh is happily employed.
“In the immensely inaccessible areas of Dharampur, Kaprada and Dang, the underprivileged are being offered healthcare services not only through Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital, but even through its outreach services. For this, the Gujarat Government is indebted to them. For improving the Human Development Index of the State, by providing these types of healthcare services to people from the remotest of areas, I am thankful to Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital.”
Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital (SRH) has launched the Shrimad Rajchandra Mobile Dental Clinic to address dental issues. This new initiative will involve regular visits by a mobile dental van to remote tribal areas to carry out dental checks by a qualified dentist. The van is fully furnished with a state-of-the art dental chair, a portable x-ray machine, an ultrasonic scaler, an intra-oral camera and all essential accessories for carrying out dental procedures. Through this program, on-the-spot treatment for common dental problems such as tooth decay, cavities, swollen gums, bleeding gums, or ulcerations, will be provided to the patients. All services provided under this program will be completely free of cost. The project will also focus on treating pre-schoolers in the anganwadis and the students of primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools. Additionally, simple presentations in local-language will be made to tribal folk to educate them on oral health and hygiene.
